Winter has arrived

Winter has definitely arrived in the Southern Hemisphere.  In the past couple of weeks we’ve had wind, rain and even hail.  So cold in fact that we’ve had our first frost of the winter.  I’ve worn my snood several times already.  I decided I needed something in a lighter shade so have made myself an infinity scarf in a lovely soft pink, 100% acrylic yarn.

I made a similar infinity scarf and matching hat for a Love of Winter showcase which is open tomorrow at For the Love of Handmade.  This is my first showcase and I’m so excited to be in it.

Last week I went to a friend’s baby shower and was able to give the granny square blanket and hat I made for her. She knew I would crochet something for her and was over the moon with it.  It should keep her baby lovely and snuggly over the next few months.

  1. They look great. I finally got my mum to show me how to crochet again yesterday (don’t think I’ve done it since I was very young), am going to get back into it!

  2. Thanks. I love my scarf, it’s lovely and soft. Congratulations on picking up the crochet again. 🙂
